Kilimanjaro Centre for Community Ophthalmology (KCCO)
Established in Moshi in late 2001, this Centre increases coverage of eye care for those who might otherwise not seek advice and treatment through an opthalmologist or hospital. It provides teaching and training, builds the capacity of persons in East Africa to provide high quality eye services and works to integrate eye care with other health programmes, training initiatives and research projects so as to create a sustainable eye care service to the community.

Regional Dermatology Training Centre (RDTC)
This Centre was set up in Moshi in conjunction with the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania to offer advice to governments, universities, hospitals and rural health centres in sub-Saharan Africa.It is WHO Collaborating Centre for dermatology, sexually trasmitted diseases and leprosy.

Rufiji Leprosy Trust
The aims of this UK-registered charity are to discover and treat people affected by leprosy in the Rufiji area of Tanzania, to support ex-patients and their families and to promote self-sufficiency among patients and ex-patients. It supports the activities of Kindwitwi Leprosy Care Centre, which began life as a colony in 1910, and which became KLCCDA in 2006.

Tanzanian Training Centre for Orthopaedic Technologists (TATCOT)
TATCOT was founded in 1981 with the financial support of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Federal Republic of Germany. It was among the first supra-regional training centres in orthopaedic technology in Africa and receives students from all English speaking African and other countries. Its courses are recognised by the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics and the World Health Organization.
