The organisation supports one of the busiest leprosy control programmes in the country, the Eastern Leprosy Control Programme (ELCP) detecting about 3000 new leprosy patients and rendering services to about 7000 registered leprosy cases every year.

NLR works closely with the Government of Nepal to reduce the prevalence and incidence of leprosy and supports prevention of disability (POD) activities.
