NLT's activities include: treatment and rehabilitation, prevention of disabilities (POD), capacity building, empowerment and awareness-raising.

Sewa Kendra Leprosy Relief Organistaion
The Sewa Kendra Leprosy Relief organisation (SKLR) was established in September 2002 to support people affected by leprosy in Nepal. SKLR is located in Gaushala, near the temple of the great Hindu deity, Lord Pashupatinath to whom thousands of devotees pay their homage every day. Many people with leprosy come here to survive by begging, because they have been rejected by their relatives and neighbours. By locating itself here, Sewa Kendra has been able to reach out to many leprosy patients as well as the large number of other poor and destitute people including the 225 residents of the government old age home in the area.
SKLR runs regular health clinics, organises awareness-raising campaigns and supports income-generation activities.
Please see the SKLR website for more information: http://sewakendra.org
