Scope

To ensure that the quality of health services remains good, feedback from patients; the ‘clients’ of the health services, is essential. Knowledge about their experiences and constraints can help in improvement of leprosy services. The client’s perspective on the health services is usually not systematically assessed as during evaluations time is too limited to interview a reasonable number of patients and large-scale surveys are not feasible or too expensive. 

Netherlands Leprosy Relief (NLR), supported the development of guidelines to assess the quality of the leprosy services from the client’s perspective through a short, but in-depth study. NLR would like to be kept informed about the user’s experiences with these guidelines and receive suggestions about how they can be further improved. Suggestions and comments on these guidelines are most welcome and can be addressed to j.dogger@leprastichting.nl.
