Is Leprosy ‘Elimination’ a Conceptual Illusion?

Published online by The Indian Journal of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology on 20th August 2011, this article discusses the confusion caused by the use of different terminologies with respect to leprosy control in India.
The authors end by asking public health scientists, programme managers and physician scientists and so on “…to recognise and use the terminology in letter and spirit which shall be useful in facilitating the efforts in the containment of the disease.”
