New Programme Officer for LEPRA Health in Action

LEPRA Health in Action recently appointed Madhavi Sakuru as a Programme Officer.

 

Madhavi has worked with international development organisations for nearly a decade, mainly in India and Bangladesh. Prior to joining LEPRA Health in Action, she was a short-term consultant with the Commonwealth Secretariat in London and during 2008 – 2009 she also worked in the Programmes Division of Plan UK. Madhavi brings knowledge and expertise of designing, and delivering, poverty-reduction programmes, monitoring and evaluation, and impact assessment of diverse projects related to health, education, economic security, water and sanitation and disaster preparedness with a focus on the rights of women, children and indigenous groups.   

 

The Xavier Institute of Management, an Indian Business School, is where Madhavi studied development management. She speaks regional languages of four countries of the South-Asian sub-continent. At LEPRA Health in Action, Madhavi is responsible for a diverse portfolio of projects in India supported by institutional donors.
