Statement on Leprosy and Human Rights

On Tuesday 25th September 2007, concurrently with the 6th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, Mr Yohei Sasakawa, WHO Goodwill Ambassador for the Elimination of Leprosy and Chairman of the Nippon Foundation, is to present the issue of social discrimination of leprosy affected people as a human rights issue.
