American Leprosy Missions Begins 2008 with Three New Staff Members

American Leprosy Missions have announced three new members of staff in their Communications and Development Departments.

On 7 January, 2008, Ms Cheryl Wood joined the staff at American Leprosy Missions (ALM) as the Special Project Co-ordinator. As part of the Communications and Development Departments, Ms Wood will assist in the creation and implementation of projects designed to increase the donor base and expand awareness about leprosy and the work of ALM nationally and internationally. A native of Greenville, Ms Wood returned from Charleston, SC where she spent six years in public health education, specifically HIV/STI and teen pregnancy prevention.

Mr Joe Sullivan, ©ALM

On 22 January, 2008, Mr Joe Sullivan joined the staff at ALM as a Major Gift Officer. Joe brings to ALM a diverse development background, including nine years with the Peace Corps., Carson-Newman College, and Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries.

Mr William "Eddie" Thomas, ©ALM

On February 8, 2008, Mr William “Eddie” Thomas will join the development staff at American Leprosy Missions (ALM) as a Major Gift Officer. Eddie brings to ALM a varied background in both profit and non-profit sectors. His experience in sales and marketing and business investment will be an asset to the development department.
