First World Congress on CBR November 2012

The First World Congress on Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) will be held in Agra, India, Monday 26th – Wednesday 28th November 2012. CBR practitioners, representatives from disabled people’s organisations, policy makers, rehabilitation experts, specialists, local and international non-governmental organisations, government officials and other stakeholders will have the opportunity to learn and share validated practices from all over the world.

The theme for this Congress is CBR – the key to realising the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The overall objective will be to promote CBR as a global strategy to realise the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

ILEP Member, the Associazione Italiana Amici di Raoul Follereau, is planning to organise a workshop either side of this Congress.
