New Project Officer at DAHW

Sabine Fürst joined the Deutsche Lepra- und Tuberkulosehilfe (DAHW) in November 2006 as a Project Officer. She has responsibility for co-ordinating the work DAHW supports in Sudan, Nigeria and North India.

Sabine has a degree in Cultural Anthropology, Spanish and African Linguistics. She  worked for the German Development Service (DED) in South Africa for five years.

Between 1997 and 2002 Sabine helped strengthen civil society organisations and self-help initiatives, mainly in rural former homeland areas of South Africa. Whilst in Sudan, where Sabine worked for four years up to 2006, she co-ordinated the DED's programme for organisational development for Sudanese non-governmental organisations.
