During the last half-century, we have been able to help more than half a million of people suffering from leprosy and other diseases of poverty. Today, we work for people who find themselves trapped in a vicious circle of poverty and poor health. And we have adopted a new name: FAIRMED – Health for the Poorest.

This 30th July, San Ignacio’s Day, a supper was held at the San Francisco de Borja Sanitorium in honour of the work of Dr José Terencio de las Aguas, who raised scientific standards significantly at the San Francisco de Borja Sanitorium.
