The Wellesley Bailey awards are unique. In June 2011 two remarkable people who have had leprosy and faced significant challenges from the disease will be presented with the seventh Wellesley Bailey Awards. There is no other international award which acknowledges the accomplishments of those who have been affected by leprosy.

These are the words of a member of the team of the Marie Adelaide Leprosy Centre, which has been quick to take action to support some of those who have been affected by the severest flooding in Pakistan for years.

American Leprosy Missions has been assisting persons affected by leprosy since 1906. It is looking for someone to assume the role of its President and Chief Executive Officer, who can provide vision and strategic leadership to both American Leprosy Missions and Leonard Wood Memorial.
