ALM is conducting MMDP activities to support LF elimination targets including situation analyses, patient estimation, data validation, health facility assessments, MMDP Strategic Planning and health worker capacity building.

This study is co-funded by ALM and GLRA to conduct AMR surveillance in Leprosy (after PEP administration) in Tanzania and Senegal.

Monitoring, training, active case detection, MDT distribution, resistance surveillance

Strengthen awareness through community radios, detection and management of multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) cases. Strengthen awareness, screening and quality of care for leprosy patients. Strengthen the management and monitoring-evaluation capacities of the leprosy and TB programmes.

Introduce WHO recommendation for leprosy control with early case detection and stop of transmission of leprosy by contact screening and introduction of post exposure prophylaxis with single dose rifampicin (PEP-SDR).
